Firstly was a great win and much needed to keep pace with Chelsea and united and keep a buffer between us and the chasing pack, great steel to come back and snatch the winner when it looked like we had thrown it away.
Good to see Mane turn up for us with the other three of our infamous quartet not playing today, he didn’t have the greatest of matches but he had that moment of magic to give us the lead. Also he said after he was ill before the match and that’s why klopp took him off, also why he didn’t seem his smiling self today as he was feeling like shiiiiiit. Well done Sadio
Coutinho. I must say something smells fishy about this one. Was absolutely fine the other day, didn’t train yesterday and didn’t play today because of an injury, just 24 hours after the Nike leak? Klopp has also said he’s a doubt for the derby against Everton. I’m sceptical myself. Hoping to be wrong and he’s here till the summer but I’m not sure he will be.
Lovren and Klavan. Put in a big effort today and i thought Klavan in particular was a rock, has been very good for us over the past 3 or 4 weeks and has definitely given Jürgen a selection dilemma about who he pairs VVD with when he inevitably comes in.
Lallana, great performance for his first start if the season. Plays between the lines so well and glides past players brilliantly.
TAA and Gomez. Both highly talented, TAA had a great game and almost scored a worldy as well as setting up manes goal. Gomez needs to stop daydreaming at the back post, it’s hapoened a few times this season and he needs to learn from it now, other than that a solid performance though.
Great win, let’s get into the next round of the FA cup now.

Jeez people already writing off Solanke after he has 1 bad game! He is young let him be and learn from today's game. He is putting the effort in he just needs that little luck Infront of goal which he hasn't had atm.

A lot of people are just saying it's unfair relying on him rather than 4 of the best attackers in the league.
He isn't remotely close to their level (no slight on him) and I think people think we need somebody more established as a back up.

We have someone more established as a back up. Sturridge. He is injured though so we need to play our next choice, Solanke.
I think he has something about him and the fact he is getting chances is important. It's not like he is missing sitters. He may not make it with us, but he will definitely be a Prem player.

Ideally i would like Solanke to go on loan for a spell. he needs games at his age and asking him to perform in high pressure games maybe asking too much at this point in time.
There are legitimate question marks over our back up strikers.
Ings - ACL injuries and lack of playing time.
Sturridge - Injuries and declining performance levels.
Solanke - Age and experience
It's arguably an area of weakness in the squad. I'm sure Mane or Salah could play as a false nine, but I can see strikers/forwards leaving and coming in this summer.
Mane might be an interesting oprion as he showed yesterday he can strike a ball well with both feet and has good pace and movement.

Solanke has started v Everton, Burnely and Stoke, 3 teams who make it very difficult for a striker to have any space, hard to judge him on these games.

Solanke needs time. I remember a few years ago on the Spurs board their fans wanted Kane to be sold. 2 years later he is banging the goals left right center and their fans praising him as the best striker ever.
Some players come to age later like KDB, Salah and Kane.
Solanke need to learn from Salah how to shield the ball with his back to goal.
I have to say Tarkowski is a good defender and not slow either.

Salah is virtually a forward, as is Mane.
I don’t agree that Solanke needs a loan.
He needs to do what he’s doing for a year or so, getting game time and hopefully improving, and then see where he is at.
We aren’t going to sign some brilliant striker who is happy to sit on the bench most of the season.

Still not convinced by Solanke. Not seeing him showing composure and moments of class irrespective of not scoring. I'm not sure he's a better option than Origi who was playing and scoring in top level football at that age

Unless English talent is given a chance it will never develop. He can’t go from player of tournament in summer to not good enough in less than 6 months. Patience.
