Welcome to the 606 F A Cup thread for Bolton against Town.

It’s a competition that is much maligned these days with us both wanting league points much more that a cup triumph… however a win would be nice.

Last time in the F A Cup :

24th January 1976, Wanderers won 1-0 at Leeds Road in the 4th Round.

We have met 7 times in the cup with most games being in the 1920’s 4 in all.

Bolton have won 6 of the 7 games with 1 being a draw… So Town are due a win.. let’s see if our Premier League class can shine through even if it will be a much changed 11..

Bolton have had a tricky season after promotion as League 1 runners up, but recent form suggests a tough match,

Bolton are currently 20th in the Championship having being in the bottom 3 for most of the season, an impressive 1-0 win at Sheff United in their last match suggests they are upwardly mobile….

Give the fringe players a chance, Lolley, Hadajani, Sabri, Cranie, Whitehead, Rob Green etc,

Haven’t seen how many we have sold but I think we’ll take at least 3,500.

The last time we met was in the Championship the season before last when we doubled them, 4-1 at ours, 2-0 at theirs on 2nd Jan 2016.

Wins breed confidence, we need a good win to help our league form,

West Ham could be level with us when we meet at ours on Saturday week, then Stoke City, a big fortnight ahead with this game being the least important…

Enjoy the match at the Reebok/Macron stadium they copied from us. I do like the corners built in though….
