Championship leaders Wolves could give a debut to 20-year-old striker Rafa Mir, who joined from Valencia for an undisclosed fee earlier this week.

Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is set to be rested and defenders Kyle Naughton (suspended) and Angel Rangel (calf) will miss out.

Midfielders Leon Britton and Ki Sung-yueng also have calf injuries.

England striker Tammy Abraham (hip) could also be absent, but Wilfried Bony is available after a hamstring problem.

Wolves will again be without suspended captain Danny Batth, while goalkeeper Carl Ikeme and defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh are long-term absentees.

Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal said: "Wolves are not a typical club from the Championship. In my time in the Championship, they were the best team I saw.

"I believe they would be competitive in the Premier League. They have players who played often in the Portuguese top flight in the first team.

"Diogo Jota was at Atletico Madrid, others have played for Benfica and Monaco so the players do not belong to the Championship. The correct place for these players is the Premier League - but I don't agree they are favourites.

"It is 50-50, like all the teams that go away from home to a Championship club, as the tempo is higher, the players run more and it makes it difficult."

MATCH FACTS

This is the first meeting between these sides since April 2012, when they drew 4-4 draw at Liberty Stadium in the Premier League.
Swansea have been eliminated from the FA Cup by Wolves in both previous ties against them, which both took place in the third round after they lost 4-0 in January 1938 and 5-3 in January 1957.
Wolves are set to face a Premier League side for the third time in three seasons in the third round after they lost 1-0 to West Ham in January 2016 and beat Stoke 2-0 last season.
This is Swansea's ninth consecutive away FA Cup match - only one team has had a longer run of away games in the competition, with Stockport playing 11 in a row between December 1996 and February 2001.

I see Karanka has taken over Notts Forest.

Be interesting to see what difference he makes.

Wonder if the ratio of players out to players in (5/3) will be the same this window as last. With 1 in and 4 out so far it looks as if this window is going to be more about moving players on and getting some funds into the kitty to help FFP rules.

Who are the four so far Gem?

Would guess that we will see/seen Price, Evans, Marshall, Hause, Ronan, Oniangue, Zyro all leave the club in one way or another in January and maybe Miranda

Connor Ronan loan to Portsmouth until end of season
Sylvain Deslandes loan to Portsmouth until end of season
Prince Oniangué loan to Angers until end of season
Jack Price sold to Colorado Rapids

Think Hause will be going on loan after signing a new deal. Negotiations are in place to sell Marshall. Ans surely Evans and Zyro will be sold this window.
