Clearly a lack of discipline in the club

Saiz gets sent off and banned for spitting at an opponent and today O'Kane sent off and presumably will be banned for using his head in an aggressive manner.
Pontus could have been sent off for his over reaction after a foul.
Recently we've had coaches brandishing imaginary red cards
and almost all of the team fall over in a stiff breeze and want the opponent sent off for god know's what.
And what does Thomas come out with today, some nonsense about provocation and if it had happened the other way round then the Ipswich guy would have been sent off.
There is a glaring lack of professionalism at the club, TC, instead of backing his players so much, needs to start giving them a bollocking and saying to Eddie and Thom that if the players or his coaching staff behaved inappropriately he will take the necessary action.
This is costing us points and he should be fuming.

How can the manacoach be blamed for Saiz spitting, he's been up for it before and got away with it, that sort of thing is up to the player to stop not TC, he cant stop a player spitting they do it all the time, its a dumb ass thing to do if you do it in the direction off someone else but when you get caught you get hung!..

Saiz at fault and now he's paying the price!..

It's not just Saiz paying the price though. Between Saiz and O'Kane we've lost players for 9 games. Stupidity.

But I agree, not TC's fault, it's down to the players and the lack of anything solid between their ears.

Not 9 games, some are same matches.

I don’t think I’ve read single comment here all season that O’kane doing well so not sure why people complaining now he’s not available.

Some are the same matches absolutely. But between them, and stupid actions, the club has players missing for a total of 9 matches.

I don't think he's as bad as some make out - i'd prefer better mind - but right now he's a regular in the 1st team on match day, whether starting or on the bench.

VOF neither do I, but folk are complaining if he’s playing then complaining if he’s not.

No not conflating (conflating?), professionalism and discipline. They are professionals and should behave accordingly. If, in my job, I had decked someone or spat at someone nobody would calling for my dismissal due to a lack of discipline, a lack of professionalism yes.
Just picking on words when you knew what I meant.
Also when it comes to professionalism, when is it ever appropriate to compare with terrible years. Oh the discipline this year is so much better than it was last year because this year we only got 10 red cards compared with the 20 last year.

Discipline, professional, 2 completely different things, that's why it's called disciplinary action, not professionally action.

Of course you can compare discipline over years, you can do that with just about any metric that you can measure.

posted on 15/1/18

You prove how professional you are by being more disciplined, it was ill-disciplined of Saiz and O'Kane and therefore they both behaved unprofessionally, O'Kane more than Saiz because he was aware of how stretched that would leave us.
The post implied that whilst a manager may want to public support his players managers should really be saying that they will not comment publicly on any matter relating to the professional conduct of a player. I thought TC shouldn't have tried to justify the actions of O'Kane in the way he did. Did you hear it?
I didn't ask whether you can compare discipline over years, I asked whether it was appropriate to do so.

Its up to the Club to put penalties in front off the players not the Coach!..

Clubs should fix a fine for!..

Getting booked for spitting,(harsh enough penalty from the footballing authorities, but Clubs should do their bit!)

Getting booked for arguing with the Referee or his helpers!..

Getting booked for waving the card hand!..

And getting booked for playing the dreadful dying swan!..

These things take a lot out of the game and if players are dumb enough to get booked for them then they should also be fined by the club and all monies go to Charity at the end off season!..

At least that way someone would benefit from the cheating!..
