Lukaku and morata swap

Chelsea and Utd fans.

At this point in the season, woukd you consider a swap of these two now?

Both off form, lukaku scores more, morata much better all round game.

If it was on the table, would you?

Really? Gooners round my way don’t seem to like him, say he can never last 90 minutes, his finishing is poor and generally does little for the team. Also would Arsenal’s interest in Aubameyang suggest he would be used to play in Lacazette’s role?

Lacazettes conversion rate is hideously awful

No way is he a better option than Lukaku

I’d swap with Morata if we had a team of hard men and we needed an absolute phanny to balance it.

Fortunately we are far from a team of hard men

Didn’t Jose also say the club scouted him at Lyon but came to the conclusion that he mainly scores penalties and isn’t that good.

When did Jose say this? Lacazette is a quality striker - like Morata you all shouldn’t be drawing conclusions off half a season in the PL.

Not really interested in Arsenal fans opinion to be honest. If you aren't Henry or RVP you're shiiiit as far as they are concerned.

Lacazette wouldn't put us on City's level but I think he has the skills we need in a striker for what we need and would suit our players.

Benzema, Lewa and Kane are what we need and what Mourinho would want but that's a different game.

Benzema isn't what he used to be and even then, I don't really consider him on Lewa's level. Kane has surpassed him.

On both strikers, I wanted neither especially for the prices they were going and did go for.

Neither are truly in the top bracket of strikers. And so far they have shown that to be the case. Morata is has never been the main striker and strikes me as someone who would flourish in a two rather than a 9 on his own. Like Sutton was to Shearer.

Lukaku and his lack of all round game has already been talked about so no point going over them again.

I think we would have been better at sticking Martial up top than either of those. A front three of Rashford, Martial and Sanchez sounds very good. I could understand the Zlatan signing, as it was a short term one, but Lukaku isn't and isn't likely to be one that takes us to the top. We'll need more signings, and going by how much we are paying, we'll be overpaying a lot of the time.

Benzema and Lewa might have been signings for the short to medium term. They would likely have cost ballpark the same as Lukaku if not more and if their respective clubs would have let them go, which I doubt in any case. They are both top drawer, but obviously unproven in the PL, which regardless of quality we know for a fact is a not inconsiderable risk.

Lacazette I would have been keener on, although I'm not sure he is perfectly suited to PL football, and I don't think (purely subjective opinion here, obviously), he'll consistently rack up as many goals as Lukaku does in a season if he stays in England regardless of where he plays his football.

There is no way in the world that Levy is selling Kane to another PL club. Ever. Even for £500m.
