Funny old game football. Crazy thing is our 2 best performance games this season resulted in a draw against Leicester City and Burnley were we really should have won both by 4 goal margins so our efficiency could even have been much better. 4 draws turned into victories the difference.

De Gea been great this season:

BTW Michael Carrick has a 100% win record this season. I hope he gets 15 appearances this season if possible.

I hope De Gea stays at least another 3 years.

Shay Given claims De Gea WOULDN'T get into Man City squad

posted on 20/1/18

Given is coming across as a bit of a bitter Blue Nose in recent days, not that anybody connected to City has reason to be annoyed right now

posted on 20/1/18

Hafi, the only stat worth worrying about is last season Chelsea won the Prem, this season Man City will win the Prem.

I think Given is right. De Gea would not get in the current city team. That is not to say de gea is bad or anything it is just the way pep sets up the team ederson is more suited to the system.

De Gea is one of the best keepers with his feet though.

he is but he doesn't play the sweeper keeper role at all really for us, I think that's the point, a goalkeeper as a whole he's better than ederson that's no question imo, also the sweeper keeper role is so overrated, mistakes are overlooked far more it seems for a keeper who's willing to come out of his area 20yards and mess up resulting in a goal

De Gea played the sweeper role under LVG though. I expected Mourinho side to play with a lower back line so that means he stays in goal more.

Ederson got a great assist at Anfield for the winning goal for Liverpool.

not only that but he's very hesitant to come out at all now, a ball will be played over the top which will wun for say 25-30yards end up 18-20yards from goal yet de gea will still try leave it to the defenders to clean up, dnt know if that's a order from mourinho or something he does on his own back
