PDC Q-School.

4 days, 2 venues, 610 competitors, 33 PDC Pro Tour places available.

It attracted a host of well known players - Colin Lloyd, Dean Winstanley, Alan Tabern, Barrie Bates, Andy Smith. BDO players such as Tony O'Shea, Darryl Fitton and Danny Noppert attempted to gain a place on the PDC tour.

Corey Cadby already has a big reputation, and he was one of the players to win his place on day 1. The Aussie was joined by Eddie Dootson and young Dutch star Jeffrey de Zwaan.

Alan Tabern has been a World Championship quarter finalist and UK Open semi-finalist in his past, but hasn't been seen for half a decade. On day 2 he re-established his place on the PDC tour. Robert Owen and Mario Robbe joined Tabern on day 2.

Day 3 saw friend of RAP, and son of Colin, Arron Monk qualify. He promises a more mature attitude and a bit of dedication to the sport after some controversies in his past. 21 year old Londoner George Killington also won through, and in the European section Tytis Kanik won through.

17 year old Bradley Brooks played well throughout, and guaranteed his pro-tour place on day 4. Canadian Dawson Murschell had also done enough over the 4 days, but secured a spot on Day 4 also. German Gabriel Clemens took the European place.

As well as the 3 winners each day, there were a further 21 places available awarded via a performance based points system.
In the UK event Nathan Aspinall was top of the order of merit. Ross Smith and Terry Temple also got back on tour.
Ryan Harrington, son of former PDC number 1 Rod, played consistently well over the 4 days to finish 4th in the OoM and book his place on tour.
Also qualifying from the UK event were; Simon Stevenson, Gary Eastwood, John Goldie, Matthew Edgar, Ryan Meikle, Ryan Joyce, Kevin Burness, Tony Newell, Luke Woodhouse, Peter Hudson and Mark Wilson.

In the European event, Danny Noppert was expected by many to win a place, and he did so via his Order of Merit top placing. Also getting a place from the European event were Robert Marijanovic, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Vincent Kamphuis, Jose Antonio Justicia Perales and Davy van Baelen.

So quite a few well known names failed to qualify for the PDC Pro Tour (which covers Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events. In this year there are 41 PDC Pro Tour events being held – 22 Players Championships, six UK Open Qualifiers and 13 European Tour events.)
