Peterborough Utd V Leicester City (FAC)

Leicester are going to have play like Villa against Posh, and Posh are going to have play like Posh against Villa, if we are going to win this one.

Looking at the Leicester squad, there are so many big names, we shouldn't stand a chance. And yet ...

Both teams have excellent attacking players. The winning team will be the one with the defence that copes best with the interesting atmospheric conditions.

Jack Marriott (missing on Tuesday night) has to play, and at his best - along with Marcus Maddison and keeper Jonathan Bond, at their very best.

Posh V Foxes games are always entertaining. Let's hope that this one is no exception.

As long as Posh are not overrun, and play with passion in front of their supporters, I'll be happy.

UTP!

I think the pleasing thing from a Leicester perspective is that there are certain players who have come in as not ‘first team’ or part of a ‘full strength team’ and have done well. Meaning that ‘a second string’ is much stronger for us as a second string than perhaps it has been in the past, possibly ever in some ways.

All though, certainly at Premier League level, there are areas of the team that we need to consolidate on, there isn’t an area where I would say we are extremely short for this sort of fixture (and I mean that with complete respect) so ultimately, we don’t have the excuse of not putting out a full strength team and expect Puel to express this pre match one way or another

Hi ThorneyPosh

Is it a sell-out? We've sold the 4,000+ tickets we were allocated (a very generous allocation I might add). What's the London Road capacity these days?

I am going but with some trepidation as I have been several times before and never seen us win there.

Complacency is a real possibility and I hope Puel drills into them that Peterborough are not to be taken lightly.

Enjoy the game.

Morning TP,hope you ready for first sell out in years.
Only a few single tickets left yesterday.
A few worries and concerns about this match,
Hostile crowd, pitch will be muddy to say least after all recent rain, low lying pitch cuts up easily.
Your players will be out to prove a point, and I hope we pick a strong team or could be in trouble.
Think capacity is about 14 k, but no one seems to know.
Good allocation for City, hope fans in corner of main stand realise that plastic seats there are from our old stand at Filbert street over 20 years ago.
Really looking forward to this one, would take a draw.
Can't face Monday if we lose!

We have a poor record at their place if I'm not mistaken, I expect Puel to rest a few, but possibly not to the extent of the Fleetwood match. I really would love to see us give this competition a good go.

From past selections he'll be picking the second XI with the Everton game in mind. So we could be in for a bad day.

I think we may win, but it could take 2 games.
Given our record at London Road Im going for a nervy draw and we win the replay. I think it will be the usuaal cup team for us, with some big guns ( Vardy Mahrez)
on the bench, just in case. Think Sinpson could play at right back, so Claude can save Armartey for Everton and Swansea ( sorryBS )

Hi guys, thank you for your comments.

Ben Stevenson on Radio Cambs had checked with the club this morning, and there were only 16 tickets left for Posh fans; so, there will be a great atmosphere. There should be a crowd of 13K to 14K.

Your "second stringers" are well known, so even if only they play, they'll be quality - I especially rate Okazaki and Gray.

Two players I have not mentioned, but who will be key for us, are Stephen Taylor and Anthony Grant - bags of experience.

Interesting to see if Huth plays - little Junior Morias will try to run rings round him.

A draw wouldn't be a bad result.

30 mins in and I have to say Peterborough have been awful. Way worse than Fleetwood Town

A master class in the first half from Leicester. Really disappointing that we gave away the ball to facilitate the first two goals. A good start to the second half, but we couldn't get the second goal against three that would have made the game more interesting. Leicester turned up, we didn't. Disappointing.
