The best way Forward.

A calamitous end to the season looms.
It's a very real possibility that we'll go down looking like a team unworthy,
rather than a side who battled to the end with a Trojan like spirit.

Lets accept that we are indeed going to be relegated, And look at the best way forward.
1st. Forget 'results'. The team have to go back to playing like we did in the early part of the season, where we all acknowledged that they were giving it their best shot,
(& doing quite well as it happens

If applied, who knows , We might actually win a handful more games.
By doing this, It will without a shadow of doubt have the whole fan base back on side, Giving their full support no matter what the outcomes are, As mentioned last night on the 'Beeb'... "If anyone deserves Man of the match, It's the Home fans" 'Us', the Important ingredient are still doing our bit.

From now on, Wagner has to weed out the players who will/are going to have a strop, & sulk their way into the Championship & undoubtedly then demand a move away from the club - too good in their own egotistical eyes to play 'championship' football next season. And....
Pick & stick with the players in these remaining games he knows are loyal, and will play & play for him no matter what.
As an example I'd suggest (obviously I don't know for sure) Mounie would sulk, Hogg would be 1st lined up to play the likes of Burton Albion - More than likely despite a pay cut, You get my drift.

These are the players we need playing each & every game now. The no questions asked reliable ones. Learning from each & every game their individual pit falls, & the best way to be resilient.. ready to do what Burnley did, Go down, & come straight back up ! it literally starts now.
Suffering these soul destroying defeats & turning it around into mental toughness to carry them through next season.
I know full well you don't like me harking back to yesteryear, But Remember, Greaves and his Town team of the time, stayed up in his 1st season, Absolutely no money to spend whatso ever, & did it with virtually the same 14 ! yes 14 man squad that gained promotion... On deep mud, wet soggy pitches playing 42 games. (with no international breaks).

I agree with everything Walt says towards the end of the Liverpool thread last night, Unfortunately, Due to Olive's pledge. Wagner will be with us untill the end of the season. hence my stance that we are indeed relegated. This is compounded by the fact Swansea, Palace, West ham, Stoke & WBA all 'acted' as a corporate business..while Town said 'Stick'. The 10 pt gap between us & those sides, then 7pt, 5... now 1pt after tonight is a reality of :-
a) How they have improved, or.
b) How we have failed.(from a previously far healthier position)

If Mat Glennons comment on Radio Leeds is true, That Hogg claims he was told it wasn't his job to play forward balls ?????? (can anyone confirm that ?) That tells me info is 'leaked' out from the training environment, to a symathetic, connected ear - Glennon, And is a thinly disguised way of telling the fans, as players, Wagner is shackling the individual spirit to the demand of the rigid game plan. Which is without doubt how we are playing. to a rigid, robotic plan, that has no opportunity for individuality to shine through.
If Olive is insistent that the German 'stays' untill the end of the season..the only way out I can think of is,

Employ a Director of football. So Wagner keeps 'em fit & does the training duties, Manager only in name. But, And literally off the top of my head, someone like Pearson actually picks the team & decides on the nitty gritty.
he's the very type we need right now, Someone with 's. Who just might possibly turn it around.

What's to lose.
