Transfer window spending

In this window, Arsenal have bought PEA and that Greek lad for a combined fee of £58m.

We have also sold Giroud, Walcott and Coquelin for £50m

That gives us a net spend of £8m. When taken with the fact that we made a profit during the summer window, you have to wonder what it would take for the board to agree to release some of that fabled £200m war chest we're supposedly sitting on

Wages. Giroud goes and we can bring another in.

Fans get carried with the signings and record transfer fees as they fail to realise that our net spend is always kept in check

Why would any player of stature want to come to this club?
Drain the Arsenal swamp, beginning with the ownership, before it's too late.

the Arsenal haters were trying to find any excuse this morning. Even elevating a man who has never scored more than 15 goals in an uber attacking side to Ibrahimovic level.

I have checked all the ins and outs in the Summer 2017 window and the current window. Arsenal have just about broken even on transfers to a £1million or 2. Good business from The Board's point of view. Lets hope the surplus money that is still on the balance sheet is put to good use in the Summer. We have a great attack now, we need to improve our defence.

================
Close to a £200m net spend over the last 5 seasons.
Okay, not Manchester levels but significantly higher than Liverpool and Spurs and about the same as Chelsea.
