U19s

I don't know how this side still have 11 men on the pitch. They've been so aggressive and snide in their approach.

Benfica were aggressive in the group stage but this lot have been OTT.

It took a head high challenge which warranted a red on Bohui for the referee to finally book one of their players. If he'd been anyway competent, they'd have been down to at least 10 men and had several players on a yellow.

Thankfully we've coped pretty well with their physicality so far. We'll be lucky not to have come away with any injuries from this game.

Interesting fact - this game is being played on the roof of a shopping complex.

They’ve had 70% possession and at 6 they’ve had double the amount of shots we’ve had.

Let's hope so.

The U18s are top of the league, four points clear, best goal difference in the league and whacked six in last time out.

Struggling is kind.

I thought last season was bad. But at least there were identifiable problems (and one in particular).

This season they are simply all over the place: zero cohesion; too much chopping and changing in approach, formation and player roles; error-ridden; toothless; naive...

They are a mess frankly. I think we'll see a bunch of players ushered out at the end of the season as well as significant coaching changes.

In short, this is the worst performing (not the worst in terms of personnel, mind) United Reserves side I have seen.

And I am not one for hyperbole.
