2nd clubs?

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone out there has a second or 3rd club they follow? Spurs are my joy and I will follow them until my final days, however I also have some love for Dagenham & Redbridge (I grew up in Barking) and Barking were pony so always went to watch the Daggers instead.
Point of the thread... who else has a second Club and who do you follow instead of the mighty Spurs?

I have never really done 2nd clubs, I have a good mate, who supports York City, so always keep a look out for their results. Another friend supporters Forfar (that his where he comes from), so have been looking out for their results for a while now.

I used to go to every London club in my younger days, just to watch a game, purely as a neutral, never had any affiliation though to whoever was playing. Same as when I used to go to Barnet quite a lot. It`s a bit strange really not getting excited whichever sides scores.

Southampton... Was at Uni down there and lived across from the Dell while Le Tiss was in his pomp !!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
was Le Tiss as lazy player as they say? i just remember his awesome goals. Should have played for England more I reckon but i never saw him play in the flesh apart from match of the day.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was fantastic.... Never bothered running or defending but with the ball at his feet & the goal in sight could do pretty much anything... The type of player that doesn't exist in today's game sadly..... I honestly can't think of a half decent comparison....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Le Tiss was an alright bloke , he was always drunk most Saturday nights if ever I went up to Southampton for a night out , buying rounds of drinks smoking . For an ugly man he got loads of birds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As great as Le Tiss was.... Franny Benali was a god down there at that time. Really nice guy despite looking like he was about to punch your face in.. would see him in local pubs from time to time
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Benali looked like Freddie Mercuary.

AFC Rushden and Diamonds. Top of the Evostik South Division One East with the least goals conceded among all teams in the top 8 tiers of English football.

I've always had a soft spot for Bournemouth since they came into the Premier League. I like Eddie Howe. Got so much respect for a manager like him as he's often near the bottom end but never, ever compromises on his style of football. Always playing out from the back with a high press regardless of the opposition. Some would call that naive but he's realised that you'll win more than you'll lose that way. He's almost continental in his style. This is why I'm not all that keen on managers like Sean Dyce, who I accept appeared to be flavour of the month a while back, as their attitude is about getting over the line by hook or by crook. Identity is everything and Bournemouth have it. Great little team.

Gillingham was the team I used to watch though as I'm a Kent boy originally. Always been Spurs since I was 6 but London felt a world away from my upbringing. My dad could only afford to take us all the the gills. Awful football.

Barca. Watching them in the late-90’s in the champions league vs Newcastle and Man U and just watching them intent to score goals and entertain was enough for me. Played football the way I like to watch and play it and followed them ever since.

Dukla Prague and Honved. You can blame HMHB for that.
I also like to see St. Pauli do well

Live in the north west so difficult to get to WHL often

Started to look for a local lower league time I could sorta follow and maybe pop to the odd game every now and then. I liked the look of Fleetwood "The Cod Army" until I realised they play in red tops with white sleaves and their ground is called Highbury

Chose Chorley instead

York and Ipswich I have soft spots for because of family.

I'll whisper it quietly on the Spurs board but I had alot of admiration for Arsenal in the early Wenger years, despite the thrashings they dished out to us (and still do)
