Wolves striker Leo Bonatini and midfielder Romain Saiss are both in contention for the runway Championship leaders at home to Norwich City.

Saiss, along with Ruben Neves, is just one yellow card away from 10 cautions and an automatic two-game suspension.

Norwich's fit-again captain Ivo Pinto is likely to return for the Canaries.

On-loan Spurs midfielder Marcus Edwards (back) is in contention for his debut, while new boys Onel Hernandez and Dennis Srbeny may make first starts.

Defender Pinto has recovered from the knee problem he sustained when getting out of his car and was an unused substitute for Sunday's dramatic 1-1 derby draw at home to Ipswich.

Ex-Wolves winger Matt Jarvis is back in training after his long-term ankle problem but it is probably too soon for the former Molineux favourite to be considered.

Match Facts

Norwich's 2-1 victory at Molineux last season was their first away win against Wolves in their last 15 visits.
The Canaries, who lost 2-0 at home to Wolves in October, have not lost successive league games against Wolves since September 2007.
Wolves have lost only one of their last 18 Championship matches - the 2-0 defeat came at Molineux against Nottingham Forest in January.
After losing four consecutive away league matches, Norwich are unbeaten in their last five games on the road.
Wolves, 11 points clear at the top, start the night 27 points better off than Norwich.

Does anybody think Ruddy should have easily dealt with that shot or is it just me ?

Fecked the thread right up that lad has

Did bounce in an awkward place for him, but he should have done better.

MGW should have squared it to kill the game off too.

Oliveira hit the shot from at least 30 yards and it wasn’t travelling that fast, I think you have to expect the keeper to stop those

As for MGW yes maybe should have squared it, I thought at the time when he turned the defender the first time he should have shot, but certainly not turned back. But he had an excellent 20 minutes and was our best player in that period. Be disappointing if he is overlooked as the Neves replacement

He certainly seems to have the talent, has he got the minerals for the Fulham game ?

I think we’re going to find out as I think that’s what Nuno will do

Personally I’d play Alfred & Saiss in the middle

Funny how one game can make everyone a bit twitchy

I think Narch did enough in the game to earn a draw, in fairness to them, and believed we were hanging on last 10 mins or so. Just horrible to lose last kick of the game but no different to how Brizzle must have felt (although we didn’t lose, it feels like it this morning )

In some senses Norwich deserved a draw but they were mostly passing the ball around in midfield and getting nowhere until that late shot. But Wolves didn't play well in the last hour and the initial substitutions made things worse. Costa took a knock at the end of the first half which presumable lead to him going off, but surely Bonatini or Gibbs White would have been better replacements than Saiss in terms of keeping a decent shape to the team.

I suspect we will play N'Diaye and Saiss in the centre on Saturday but they are not a good match, and we will find it difficult to link defence to attack with them two there.

The first time pass from Neves to send Jota away for the first goal last night was superb, and without Neves the front men are largely going to need to make things happen on their own, and Neves is also our main man for getting the wing backs into the game in attacking positions.

Saiss and mgw would be my choice but it will be a big ask for mgw in a game against arguably the second best midfield in the division.

Becoming clear we are a lot more fragile when N'diaye starts and not Saiss as well and I suspect Nuno will revert to Saiss and Neves when both are available together as he prefers the defence first approach.

if us and cardiff continue in the same form they will be level with us in 18 games - tough sh!t for them then that there's only 13 games to go

Cardiff won't catch us if we played another 50 games
