Wem-bur-leh

Following Monday nights bitter disappointment in the FA Cup the team have had a couple of days to kick their wounds and prepare, with a couple more still to go.

Arsenal I’m sure will be looking to kick us while we’re “down", but despite their growing injury list there should be absolutely no complacency following Wigan - this is the perfect opportunity to pounce back and secure Guardiolas first piece of silverware at the club.

Ozil is expected to recover in time from illness, Ramsey still a doubt, and Cech will not start for similar reasons to Bravo (do GKs really need “resting"? Another conversation for another time perhaps)

Bravo
Walker VK Stones Danilo
Fernandinho
Sterling KDB Silva Sane
Aguero

VK has to keep things organised, Stones and Laporte were a bit clunky alongside each other against Wigan, time needed over summer to tune that pairing. And expecting a big performance from Walker by way of an apology for that brain fart the other day.

Anyone else to look out for? Perhaps, and I hope, the gods will shine on Yaya for one last Wembley cameo.

Safe travels to all blues heading down

The 76 replica shirt is in the airing cupboard.
Changing keepers in a cup final , ehm...still think Pants would have dealt with Wigans corner that Hart got nowhere near

Should be a good game, many think City will walk it but it’ll be close. Would lean towards an Arsenal win right now.

i don't think you will find to many city fans thinking they will walk it. Hopefully the wigan game will have given the players a timely reminder that a game can still be lost even if we dominate most of it. Arsenal are still a quality side and our record against them isn't exactly lined with successes.

VK: relatively *just* back from long term injury, Wigan game was not his commanding best. With all due respect, Arsenal would give us more of a game.

Stones: Will he be able to get back to his rhythm? Still getting back to his best shown earlier in the season before his injury.

Danilo: As left back? please no.

Bravo: I do know that it does make sense to play him in this match just to be fair to him, but we need to win this. Ederson for me.

---------------- Ederson

Walker Stones Otamendi Zinchenko

Bring VK and Yaya on, hopefully as Cup-winning subs, and to give Touré a nice send off.

Forgot Zinchenko! 100% go with him. Danilo’s goal against Burnley has papered over the cracks of several below par performances

Walker Otamendi Stones Zinky for me. The rest are OK though Bernado deserves to start ahead of Sane.

I expect Arsenal will try and kick us off the pitch again so the ref’s role will be crucial.

Agree Bernardo deserves it. But I think with two out and outers on the wing we can stretch them a bit more

Sterling might be out with a muscle injury, so that wold mean sane, bernardo sergio.

I’m in Valencia atm, so is David Silva according to some of the locals so he may not be a definite starter for Sunday
