UK Open 2018

First Round Highlights
In front of a sparse crowd, with a number of players not being able to make it, the first round kicked off on Friday afternoon.
Benito van de Pas - the highest ranked player in the order of merit who entered in Round One - beat Cristo Reyes 6-5.
Dimitri van der Bergh was a surprise loser, 6-3 to Lee Evans (no, not that one)
Paul Nicholson, Alex Roy, John Part and Kirk Shepherd were some of the familiar names through,
Youngsters Bradley Brooks (18) and Ryan Meikle (21) showed their promise with wins.

Second Round highlights
Dave Chisnall and Gerwyn Price both won through into the third round with 6-2 wins.
Benito van de Pas was a shock loser, losing 6-4 to David Evans. Alan "Chuck" Norris also fell at this stage, losing 6-4 to Dirk van Duijvenbode.
Stephen Bunting beat youngster Bradley Brooks, but Ryan Meikle made it through.
John Part has progressed to the third round with a 6-0 win over Paul Whitworth.
Raymond van Barneveld scrapped through 6-5 against Mike Norton. Norton had three match darts at 5-4 up but Barney survived.

Round Three highlights
A shocker for the big guns. Michael van Gerwen is beaten 10-8 by Jeffrey de Zwaan.
Peter Wright losses 10-9 to Nathan Rafferty.
Mervyn King beats an out of sorts Barney 10-3.
Dave Chisnall, John Henderson, Justin Pipe and Darren Webster are among the other losers.
.Rob Cross beats Nathan Aspinall and Gary Anderson wins 10-3 over Robert Rickwood, and these two now are favourites.
Daryl Gurney gets past Jelle Klaasen 10-9
Michael Smith, Gerwyn Price, Stephen Bunting, John Part, Krzysztof Ratajski and Ryan Meikle among the others through.

Round Four highlights - Best of 19 legs
Rob Cross defies a good comeback from Kyle Anderson to book his place in the 5th round.
Gary Anderson was comfortable in beating Ricky Evans.
Michael Smith and Gerwyn Price also through.
Kim Huybrechts knocks out Daryl Gurney, while James Wade also lost.
Krzsyztof Ratajski and John Part among the others through.

Fifth Round highlights
Gary Anderson and Rob Cross both safely through.
John Part continues his amazing weekend by beating Merv King 10-8.
Gerwyn Price was taken to a deciding leg by Paul Hogan.
David Pallett, Robert Owen, Corey Cadby and Steve West also through.

Gracious from Cadby. Really taken a liking to him this weekend. First time I've seen him properly. Reputation doesn't seem justified.
