Two days until the game...

Still very little in the way of banter or build up on these boards.

I'm one of the more pessimistic United fans out there but feel we will take 3 points this weekend. It won't be pretty, probably similar to Spurs we will kill the game off and try to nick a goal from a set piece or good bit of play.

What are peoples predictions for the game?

The key battle for me are;

Lukaku v VVD

Pogba v Hendo/Can

Darmian/Young/Shaw v Salah

Who ever wins most of these battles will come out on top imo.

Sounds a bit blanket but I think there are key battles all over the pitch tbh because I think that's what both managers will try and do. By that I mean try and counter the others strength rather than focusing on their own.

But having watched the Newcastle extended highlughts and one half each of Sevilla and Palace (not a huge cross section I'll admit) I reckon there is an area inbetween just outside the centre circle and the 18 yard box where Utd are particularly vulnerable and that's made worst by Pogba being a bit lazy. Ox plays well inbetween those lines and I reckon he'll be a nightmare for Matic as he's able to play on the half turn and has far better acceleration and lower centre of gravity. We're then four on four.

For Utd I be very surprised if they didn't utilise a diagonal ball to the back post a lot. All our full backs are vulnerable to those and mince in the air.

Yeah 100% agree robbing about our fullbacks.

The game v Southampton, for example, they played a lot of crosses into our box and Robertson and Trent were caught out on a few occasions, so that definitely can be an area where united can hurt us. Lukaku will probably pin himself on one of them, with crosses from Valencia and even Sanchez.

Yeah we really struggled and second balls have killed us at times too. All teams can struggling with it but we seem to have since Finnan left! Pogba is the danger there for me as that's probably his best ball because of his technique and he can get real bend and dip that takes players out of the game.

He's gone from the junior member in midfield to the main man and I'm not sure he can handle it and this is a big game. Seems to be trying far to hard at everything on the ball and not enough without it but it's a great opportunity for him.

If Utd pass it like the first half against Palace we'll beat them but the trouble is that second half shows that when they can be bothered they're dangerous. I don't think the coach or players will be thinking about Sevilla at all either.

They'll be massively wanting not to lose it first and ecstatic if they win. They'll want this bad I reckon.

Valencia who can't cross for sheet and an out of sorts Sanchez?

The longer the games goes and is in the balance I favour Utd.

I rarely feel confident about this game, but if our pressing is good I can see us causing them problems. Lukaku will try to isolate our fullbacks in the air is certainly a concern but if we play with a good tempo, I think we have the energy and pace in the team to win the game.

Utd haven't impressed me much this season. However they still have the individuals to turn a game.

Ok then Pogba and young. The point being that is our weakness is crosses and balls stood up towards our full backs who aren’t the tallest. For example Ibras goal against us last season at old Trafford. I think we still struggle with set pieces and crosses into our box.

..................

You will be safe then, as it is something we don't do much of.

Which is ridiculous considering we spent 75 million on someone who thrives on that kind of service.

If we won 3-0 I wouldn’t be surprised.

If United won 3-0 I wouldn’t be surprised

If it finished 0-0 I wouldn’t be surprised

That’s how I feel about tomorrow. It’s all to play for and I have a feeling that whoever gets the first goal will go on to win it.
