Juventus

Juventus Defender Giorgio Chiellini has come out with some controversial comments. Says he knew his team would beat Tottenham because Spurs "always miss something at the end".

He goes on to say this is part of their history..

Talk about kicking somebody when they’re down.

watch the game again and see how rotten he was

No one needs to, as he wasn't.

TBH Spurs really messed up last night.

After 10mins the game was theirs and really I felt it was all there for spurs. juve couldn't touch them.

1-0 up... but juve had the two forwards and they score both chances while spurs then missed theirs.

Perhaps chellini was a but rough on spurs but there you go. I would comment that had it been LFC 1- juve 2 he could have said exactly the same thing as we miss loads of chances and give up chances

however... it must be said. 2 goals down in first leg before spurs started to play must have been nerves.... dominated form there.

Spurs need to look at that. work rate and energy only gets a side so far... have the be more solid and reliable.

I thought him but especially whoever was his CB partner were absolute beasts last night. Most impressive defenders I've ever seen live.

Think what he's said is classless though if that's how it was worded.

He's right about Spurs, they always come up short. Like a couple of seasons ago when they managed to come third in a two horse race. Juve have a really tight defence and they have a knack of making it to CL finals. Whoever gets them in the next round will have a tough draw.

Hmmmm.... well history shows that anything that Juventus win should be treated with suspicion as we know they’re all about bribes and match-fixing.

Yeah, that's why they were denied a stonewall penalty

So you’re denying they were relegated for match-fixing and bribing officials?

They should have a penalty awarded to them,it was right in front of where I sit and we were amazed it wasn’t given.

The officials were poooop that evening. Jive should.have had a pen, thst defender for juve should have been sent off for stamping on son and that late Harry Kane effort of the post was off side in the first place!

When I was a kid playing for my local team, the manager used to tell us that being good winners was as important as being good losers. He has zero time for any of us gloating when we won.

Perhaps Chiellini could have benefited from such a lesson. Great player but a crass comment.
