I do and I will and there’ll be other fantastic teams in the future for us like there is now and there have been throughout our past. We’ll be ok.

We were part of the big 5. Chelsea and city (with Everton falling out) have bought their way in (not trying to wum, it is what it is and you’ve done what you had to do to become a big boy) and there’s now a top 6.

Maybe Chelsea are bigger name than us now and have greater “allure” but I doubt it a little. We’ll see. But I think the reason you hate the comment about Roman so much is...it’s kinda true and you know it too.

The Roman thing does have shades of truth to it yeah, but the thing is the longer he sticks around the bigger we're becoming, and the less reliant we are on his bailouts. The other poster was right in the sense that fans of the other top 6 clubs dropped that argument years ago (because it's becoming less and less true), but Spurs fans still pedal it every now and then and I suspect it's because out of all the top 6 clubs, your long term status in it is the most fragile.

We do have more appeal than you now for sure, but that's part and parcel of having a period of recognized success - all the young players coming into the game now will have grown up watching us winning a few PL's/getting to the latter stages of the CL year on year in the mid to late 00's - but my driving point was actually that we'll offer them money you wouldn't, and in recent times United have that history and our willing to outbid anyone on top of that.

But hey ho, I'm not wound up anymore so I'll leave it at that. Was just such a dumb comment

Well we were promised the wages will come now we have the new stadium but I’ll believe it when I see it.

In reality I think ENIC have built an extremely saleable ‘franchise’ with the new stadium, CL team, London, training ground, NFL rights. That we’ll end up being sold for massive money and we’ll end up having the sugar daddy comment thrown back at us.

Truth is nobody knows what’s round the corner for anyone. I’d say if nothing changes in our ownership we have a more predictable path than many others with one of the soundest business models to keep us in and around where we are for the next however many years. Not to take us to that next level though and be winning the CL/PL.

Great to be a spurs fan at the minute though. Think it’s only positives in our future no matter what happens. It’s just how positive those positives are, really.

I’d say I’ll stick to away games for my proper football experience but everybody’s doing that more than ever so it’s hard to get tickets to many away ends.

This is so true. Even though I have had a season ticket now for 20 years, I can't get anywhere near tickets for away games at all. You need an away season ticket for that. The irony is that the fans that do follow us away up north are virtually all old-school with very few tourists.

Even when we got 9k for the Emirates that time I couldn't get one!!

This is so true. Even though I have had a season ticket now for 20 years, I can't get anywhere near tickets for away games at all. You need an away season ticket for that. The irony is that the fans that do follow us away up north are virtually all old-school with very few tourists.

Summer, some good comments, nice to see all supporters see the others point of view. Never quite understand opposition supporters trying to score points because Spurs have not won any trophies lately. 95 per cent of the countries teams haven't either. The trophies will start to come over the next five or six years, I have no doubt, the current Spurs team is far too good to not win some trophies in the near future. Sometimes you need a bit of luck along the way to pick up a trophy or two. Cup competitions are very rarely won by the absolutely best side in the competition. Leagues are usually won by those with the most money in modern football, so not really a surprise Spurs have not won that for so long.

Sandy was saying team with most money wins league.

You will NEVER be in a two-horse title race with a club with as small a wage bill as Lesta ever again.

And I doubt 81 points will win the league again for a while (last time was 2000/01).

Let alone smash it by 10 points

FA Cup final will be between Chelsea and Tottenham with Chelsea winning by the odd goal and Willian likely to score the winner in the final in my opinion.
