Next manager

While I believe Jose will be at the club at least until the end of next season, it’s always fun to speculate - this site was founded on 24/7 speculation!

The obvious choice is Ancelotti. Then there’s Tuchel, Blanc, Emery (who I really don’t want), Sven (imagine if we did 😂 ) and a long shot is Poch.

Who would people go for? I’m sure most of them would offer more attacking football than Jose but would any of them get closer to a City side who may well get 100+ points next season too if they fine tune their quality squad even further. IMO out of all of those the safe(ish) pair of hands is Ancelotti. But even he has had some poor experiences in football recently

Who ever it is, it will have to be someone that gets the fans on the edge of their seats. Personally loved how Monaco played last year in the CL, Jardim would be my choice.

Agree with above, each of our appointments sinces Fergie have in different ways been seen as "safe pairs of hands". Time to take a bit of a gamble

Haven’t read all the comments. I don’t know much about coaches/managers abroad, but there are no stand out candidates in England apart from Poch. Pep would obviously be unrealistic, and Klopp would be too with his connection to Liverpool. Not that I’m convinced Klopp would be the answer anyway. Conte would be more of the same as we have now. Wenger is past his best, and wouldn’t have us competing. Obviously this is the top 6 managers in league positions.
To summarise, I have no fecking idea.

Pep was a very safe option?

He's only management experience prior to Barca was Barca B where he won the Spanish 4th division. He was then tasked with taking over an underachieving Barca side who finished 3rd under Rijkaard and 18 points behind real Madrid. That'd be like United sacking Jose in the summer and appointing Kevin Nolan

I’ve seen enough to give JM 1 more year - just
I’m slightly old school and remember it took fergie time

A lot of things we will not be aware of behind the scenes.

For those match going fans I do appreciate their critiques - they spend good money watching turgid football — I think we all agree he needs to improve the attacking cohesion

But yeh — I’ll give him one more — stays the same then new manager beckons.

I haven’t got a scooby do I’d choose — probably with an attacking ethos because he will have the players at his disposal

I think after the experienced route with LVG and Jose I’d prefer to go with someone younger and hungrier next.

Luke Shaw then?
