I hate the halo

Fernando Alonso just on the radio now: "With the halo people forget to look in their mirror".
He obviously doesn't like it.

Now Hamilton on his radio "Visibility is really hard at this track".
Another dig at the halo.

By the way, no idea what you are on about, the halo doesnt block any view for the viewer.

It seems fashion these days to moan about changes without even knowing what effect the changes have

To be honest you seem to be the one with no idea of the effect. How anybody can claim the halo doesn't block the view of the driver is beyond reason.

BTW, I'm not necessarily against it, but it does block the view of the driver. In a few years people will claim pre-halo cars look unfinished but that doesn't make it right or wrong.

I do not think it is the solution, if there even is one.

At Melbourne it certainly did restrict the viewers view. What you said is nonsense!! its was a huge block. Granted this is due to where they positioned the head cam on it and I would think that it will be modified. but the onboard (head cam) picture was terrible and hugely obstructed by the halo device.

I think you and I are talking about a different cam view sorry mate, you are probably right.

yeah it was the one that was basically the head cam last year only they had the camera at the back of the halo meaning the actual halo pretty much blocked all of the road infront of the driver so all you can really see is the halo itself and the drivers helmet. Was useless !! How do people get employed to do this sorta thing.. surely they must have checked the view you get and notice it??!! baffling!
