With just a handful of games left of the season and with todays result our chances of finishing in the top 4 have improved.
There are three teams who can mathematically overtake us in the race for one of the CL spots; All have played 31 games, leaving 21 available points from the 7 remaining games:
Tottenham 64pts + 21 = 85pts
Chelsea 56pts + 21 = 77Pts
Arsenal 51 pts + 21 = 72pts
Burnley 46pts + 21 = 67pts
To get to 78points and guarantee our place we would need to average 2 points per game from now until the end of the season, and this is where I think we will get them from:
Stoke (a) – 1pt
They are in a relegation battle and will have nothing to lose
Man City (h) – 0pts
Hopefully the league would have been won by then, but I still don’t fancy us having much of a chance.
Brighton (a) – 1pts
They will be in the mix for relegation and will try to defend their position
Watford (h) – 3pts
Their season will be over by then
West Brom (a) – 3pts
Will already be relegated
Newcastle (h) – 3pts
Not sure when this game is rescheduled for but they will probably be safe by then
Leicester (h) – 3pts
They will probably have nothing to play for
I’m still deluding myself for second place and expect us to take 18 out of the 21 points, I have tailored my predictions to get us to the 78 we need – with these certain facts you should head off to the bookies and put a 7 game accumulator on.

A team that is unbeaten since Mid December, having outplayed United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea along the way, is hardly likely to be dropping points at Stoke and Brighton.

I deliberately this article in a way to avoid any conflict with other supporters and to allow people to discuss how we think our run in will pan out by highlighting the facts of mathematically securing top 4.
I now realise I should have just wrote "all Liverpool fans are massive Caants" to save their embarrassment of posting off topic on an article which has absolutely fack all do with them. Had their comments been on topic or even slightly amusing I wouldn't mind, other view points are always welcome,
This is why people just give up posting anything but wum articles - too many Caants.
