Derby County v Bolton Wanderers

Back on the road today with a trip to the pride park stadium a journey of 77.6 miles if you take the a roads. Life on the road has been tough for Bolton fans this season with just the solitary win at Sheffield united. Bolton go into this game with a 5 point gap over the bottom 3 which could be down to 2 if Barnsley win their early kick off v Sheffield united and with Barnsley having a game in hand and Bolton having to go to oakwell next Saturday things may not end well. Boltons recent record of 1 win and 3 draws in 7 including 2 disastrous home defeats v Preston and Birmingham make at least picking a point up essential today and a win v Millwall on Tuesday. A daunting task with derby in 5th looking set for the play offs with a 3 point gap over Bristol city in 7th. A lot has been made of Bolton's poor record at derby. The record at pride park is not that bad actually as Bolton won in the league cup In 99 and 3 draws, 4 defeats with the last 2 being 4-1 to derby. A crumb. Derby's recent form hasn't been great. Won last Saturday at Preston but before that hadn't won in 8. Team news. Midfield most affected with pratley and Kirchoff out with shin and hamstring injuries. Henry struggling with his own hamstring so may miss out too/saved for Tuesday. Rumblings of changes today. I suspect ken has had a word. Possible change to 3 at the back too. Possible call ups for wheater, little, Robinson, karacan, Clough and wait for it return of the target man will brown. Games to look out for 12.15. Barnsley v Sheffield united. 3pm Birmingham v Burton, Reading v Preston, Leeds v Sunderland.

Bad day for the U23's lost 3-0 at Charlton
Could it be a sign ? Normally when the U23's win the 1st team lose is a reverse of that usual form coming our way tomorrow night.

Pp has no plan b if plan a does not work. I've come to the conclusion we need a more modern minded flexible approach next season.

I can’t believe Parkys still here!!! He looked a beaten man after the Derby game ,like he’d lost the dressing room,I hope I’m wrong but can’t see him turning this around,Unless of course he starts letting the players play football, and stops messing around with Wilbraham, Try Clough / Ameobi / Morais in the same team.and play the ball on the floor.

Morais has a minor injury. Need goals so it's up to pp to get ameobi, Clough and Alf the 3 more likely players likely to hit the net to get them into the team instead of mucking around with will Buckley, Craig noone, will brown, 3 central midfielders. Getting angry at his stubborn bloody mindedness. Only scored 8 since Madine left.

Come on chaps what's all this asking for goals anybody would think you go to matches to see goals and your team winning by playing entertaining football.
You are cursed being a Bolton Wanderers fan some of us have suffered the ups and downs of the Whites for many years you sort of get used to it eventually.

Great to see the girls representing the Wanderers have won the EFL girls cup. At least we can celebrate something.

Another well done to the girls the lasses teams have done really well in the last couple of years.
There is a lot of good football around town at the moment the odd one out being the Wanderers 1st team. Fear not the Beano will show how desperate Prof P is this morning as the daily comic starts running out of steam.
