I think Hugo is now becoming a little erratic, he does not seem to be the same keeper he was a couple years ago. Starting to have a bit too many regular dodgy moments especially in big matches.
Obviously he pulls off blinding saves at times, and don't get me wrong I have a lot of time for Hugo he also seems a proper decent guy, but he is making errors quite a lot nowadays.
Especially with the likes of Vorm as No2, although reports suggest he will be off soon. With Gazzaniga only featuring only once so far (he got motm if I recall) makes me think the coaches probably don't have too much confidence in him either, but Vorm is a proper dodgy keeper for me.
Someone like Oblak from Atletico if there was any chance to get him would be incredible. What do you guys think?

I think the big difference is that if Lamela scored the winner in the Cup final Chicken would still be unable to say a kind word about him whereas I would love to be proved wrong by Hugo.

Lloris is the worst top 6 keeper in terms of how many saves he makes compared to errors.
The much maligned Mignolet is above him, despite Liverpool playing a high line, Karius has made 0 errors so far, and Ederson is twice as impressive.
The others you could argue defend in a different way, hence the 0s

I prefer to look at save-to-shot ratio. He’s had a dip this season, top performer last season I believe

I would not trust any fan on here to know a goalkeeper's error from some mistake for which other players should share part or all of the blame.
Similarly for saves.
Therefore, I ask, where do these statistics of saves v errors come from?
Is there a trusted authority that makes such judgements and keeps the stats?
I dont trust any of the damned figures bandied about in this thread.

Sanchez ( and Dier ) was just as much to blame for the goal.
Sanchez was plain awful for it yet some reason gets away Scott free like usual.
Lloris has mistakes in him but we couldn’t do better than him.
