My Observations From the Last Two Games

• That Kane is not match fit and he has been rushed back and is being indulged by Poch due to Kane’s obsession for the Golden Boot.

• That a new right full back has to be a priority over the summer (in addition to a backup striker). Aurier offers nothing. He can’t cross, can’t take a throw properly, he does not have blistering pace and he’s a defensive liability.

• That we may need to look for a new left back too, as Davies’ inability to cross the ball properly is becoming a joke now. Who knows what will happen with Rose.

• That we must keep Alderweireld at all costs. He was coolness personified last night and in addition to his defensive prowess, his diagonal long balls are a real asset too.

• That Lucas Moura has to be given more starts. He’s a real gem and I can’t believe that he has not been given a proper run in the team so far.

• That Poch has not realised that a central midfield pairing of Sissoko and Wanyama provides zero creativity.

I've been saying it about Kane for a while....hey ho. Agree about Toby and Lucas but for goodness sake rest Kane.

Squad needs improving that's for sure, a couple of better full backs, a CM or 2, a pacey forward to step in for Kane and probably a CB to replace Toby

I agree with it all bar point 2.

Aurier has not been good enough, but its his first season. He is still better than Walker/Rose were when Poch came in. Trippier is the one I would replace and bring in Cedric as first choice

As if Poch would be amateur enough to select an unfit player, just so he has a better chance of winning the Golden Boot.

Davies' crossing is also not that bad.

Considering Kane was out for less than 3 weeks, he shouldn’t lose that much match sharpness, although players tend not to train too much at this time of year.

Persist with Aurier. He’s not had a full season yet and hasn’t been a disaster. Not as if Kieran ‘more potential than Walker’ Trippier has pulled up any trees in his time with us.

Davies isn’t that bad, but should Rose leave, I want a player in that mould to replace him.

Only midfield pairing I dislike more than the one last night is Dier and Wanyama. I don’t rate Sissoko, but he was far too disciplined. Needed him to run forward a bit and disrupt them a bit.

Gezza-Spurs ... I agree with all your points 100%
Aurier is a Levy last minute blunder.
Alderweireld can actually play RB too, so there is an option to play a back four of:
Alderweireld, Sanchez ,Vertonghen, Rose/Davies

Levy is going to march a midtable club into his bright shiney news Stadium next season.

Fans expectations of fullback's crossing vs reality is always so far apart

I bet fans of every club have issues with the crossing of their FBs. It's not that easy a skill

Really? I'd argue that it's one of the easiest skills to teach!
