I tried really hard to get behind what Puel was trying to do when he first came in. I read through his interview with Hoddle and it made sense. But it’s getting worse with every performance.
4 wins from 17 has seen us throw away the battle for 7th which was realistic. We are set for a lower points return than we got in the great escape season where we spent most of the season bottom. In most other seasons we would be bottom half
The football is the worst I’ve ever seen it - ever. Crowds are booing after a shocking performance against a terrible Southampton team who offered nothing.
I don’t care about Claude’s vision for the club. The fact that he’s trying to implement it now without the required players shows that his thinking is deeply flawed.
If he stays we will go down next season. I’m absolutely convinced about this because it’s got all the hallmarks of the miserable end to the season under Peter Taylor before we went down the next year.

I'm still clinging on to the hope that he has reportedly managed some decent sides in the past. I'll be interested in what he does in the summer, always providing he doesn't get himself sacked by us having a dreadful end to the season.
Incidentally, I overheard Nev talking to his camel after the game, berating those evil players who want the manager out - one could feel the bad vibes and negativity affecting the side pulsating from the dugout where Simpson and Morgan were in high dudgeon. Of course it was as usual all down to the players again and nothing to do with St Claude.
So tell me Nev, is it Vardy who has decided to come back and make it 10 of our outfield players in the box to defend corners or maybe, just maybe, this incredibly negative tactic which doesn't give us a potential quick outlet is something to do with Puel?

Whilst I’m not sure Puel is the right man for you guys i do think there is a more widespread issue within your squad.
Manager after manager starts well but can’t maintain it and the cycle repeats. You could argue it’s poor selection of managers but i think there may be a touch too much power in the dressing room with the players and perhaps a clear out is needed of a few in order to rectify the situation?

Good point Tiddles and one a poster of ours would fully agree with.
But what we need is a manager to come in and get the right players on board to maintain results whilst removing the influences that cross him.
Puel looked to be that man in the early stages. Now he does not look to be that man at all.
A strong manager like Benitez might be required to re shape our squad.
