Bolton Wanderers v Wolverhampton Wanderers

A top of the league clash at the macron today as top of the league wolves looking for one point to mathematically confirm the championship take on top of the mini league Bolton. A tough ask for Bolton today probably too much as taking on a team with 95 points from 43 games, already promoted as likely champions and already given Bolton a 5-1 hiding at molyneux. The stats don't add up either. Wolves have won 6 and drawn 1 out of the last 7, Bolton 1 win in 10, no win in 5, 1 point from 5 games and more worryingly lost 3 out of the last 4 home games. A mismatch no matter how you dress it up. The only hope is wolves take the foot off the gas or Bolton put in similar performances to the villa, Fulham, Cardiff home games. Bolton with just 40 points from 43 games should already be relegated as Blackburn went down with 51 last season so kind of lucky the other teams in the mini league are bad. Parky/the Beano says we are in a mini league. Would that be the same mini league with Burton, Sunderland and Birmingham which Barnsley joined round about Christmas we have been in all season? Top of it as it stands so hoping we can scrape enough points together from the last 3 games to stay top of that mini league. Team news. No new injuries to report. Only short term signings Kirchoff and obasa out, neither have worked out. The loan signings have been marginalised. Charsley, walker and Clough seem to have played their last games as joined on the naughty step with derik and karacan also on the way out of the club. Will be interesting to see if parky keeps the 2nd half line up from Barnsley with noone and Buckley attacking down the wings, morais and Robinson attacking full backs and ameobi in a free role which gave Alf good support. The defence worries me as just can't stop conceding soft goals so need to be positive to get something today. Other games to look out for. Birmingham v Sheffield united. Leeds v Barnsley. Sheffield Wednesday v reading. Sunderland v Burton.

The Beano has started building it up a day early again this week. Will Ken be looking for a bed come Saturday night he won't be welcomed home by Pat if it all goes wrong after all he did promise her it was a sure bet to a nice little earner and he'd be shut of us by now.

Beny, I'll share your enthusiasm on Saturday at 16:50 hours if we beat Burton.

At the moment my nails have been bitten to the quick. A horrible thought but it's toe nails next.

Tbh not confident. Like pasty says the away record is poor but we have to believe. Likely scenario it will go to the last game. At least we can't be relegated on Saturday. That's a positive.

I've bound my feet like a Chinese geisha. I don't fancy nibbling my toenails. It's the only thing I can think of that will stop me. It's bloody painful when I walk. The missus thinks I've had an accident in the rear quarter.

Best you join the sick bay queue swie you'll be behind Morais and Robinson if you get in there before todays training session injuries walk in.
Can we have a leap Saturday and miss it all I don't fancy suffering 90 minutes of torture tomorrow I'm getting visions of PP's championship cv and our away record already.
