I did, Scouse, as it happens. There were too many to include all of the scathing diatribes. Happily the team were less certain of disaster than our expert analysts.

Possibly, Scouse, though I always retain hope. I have said previously that Jerome's record at this level bears scrutiny and suggests that he has the ability to be a very effective player. We write off players too easily. There are many reasons why a player might not perform well other than that they are inherently crap at football. My preference for selection would have been to have started Palmer ahead of Johnson, otherwise I agreed with Rowett's eleven. Johnson had a decent game though. Rowett made a very wise decision to leave out Vydra to stop him getting clogged and be able to come on when there was a bit more room to play in. I like Palmer but as the game wore on it didn't feel like a game for him so I think he got that right too. Maybe we write off managers too soon aswell.

Start with the manager

I think that one is a bit unfair on Cat, Vidal. No one is more supportive or encouraging. Just had a shaky moment at half time.
You should do a similar compilation of the positive comments, as things started to turn round in the 2nd half

I could do Ang. Had the manager been changed as advised perhaps we would not have turned it round though.

It is an easy thing to triumph in the summer's sun and in the vintage and to sing on the waggon loaded with corn. It is an easy thing to rejoice in the tents of prosperity.

Or so I have always thought.

Vidal, I accept the complaint about changing the manager. Stupid throwaway remark which I might have hoped would be read as such. Mea culpa.

But I stand by the heart and desire issue. We have players who can do a job. But when their heads go down, skills and strengths go too.
Whatever happened at half-time last night, it was the same squad as during the first half - with added heart and desire. It was a joy xx

Cat, I'm not being entirely serious. It's just nice to see that even when some (not yourself) are absolutely certain of failure we aren't always right about it. I know you are the most loyal and optimistic of fans, or perhaps a close second to AJRam.
