…about the football that was on show last night. For about 50mins our players made all fans around the world climax from the football they played last night.
Tbh in those first 20mins I thought well this Roma side has our number and it’s going to be a long night. Not because they looked like scoring but more about how they nullified our build up play and cut the supply to our wide forwards.
Once we realised that Henderson & Milner were not going to get any joy in passing through the midfield, we switched it up and started hitting our forwards with more direct passes. I like how we started to use Hendo’s & Milner’s positioning as decoy to open up the passing lanes to our front 3 & Gini. TAA in particular was fantastic at finding them. Even if & when Roma blocked those passes, Milner & Henderson were immediately on them with the press and winning the ball back and just like that Roma were back on the defensive. They couldn’t live with us. Even Lovren was knocking 40 yarders with ease (he’s actually underrated with the ball at his feet, terrible defender nonetheless).
Klopp and this team have grown so much this season and it’s been a joy witnessing this maturity in the team to take a situation like that and turn it around in such fashion.
Two silly goals conceded aside and taking into account the football we’ve played in the CL this season, nobody can deny we deserve to be in that final.

Roma set up really well for the first 20 mins and I was worried.
When Hendo tracked back and nailed their winger and then proceeded to give Robertson a scolding that is when the game changed.
Hendo and Milner got hold of the game and Klopp changed our tactics.
Fantastic display by the boys. Roma were shell shocked. Even their fans were applauding our goals in the end.
Mo was on fire and the confidence in the team was fantastic.
What a game and what a performance.
Oh and special mention to the fans. Best atmosphere in England by a country mile. The stadium was rocking all night
