“remember that as well

Were told that plc’s don’t work that way and we were all daft bears for thinking that was the case 👍”

Hhhhmmm not what used to be the mantra on why Dermot didn’t just go out and spend 5 million in a player, but as I say, business stuff is largely over my head

I’ll take your word for it
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Always better to ask a Tim

There current estimates range from zero to 17m

Do you think they can all be correct or maybe just plucking numbers out of thin air 😊

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think I must have told you to Fwck off at least 1,000,105 times already today 😡

😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Another one or two before bedtime won’t go amiss then 😂

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Good

Fwck off and Fwck off when you get there
😡

If folk are saying loans are investment, then I don’t agree. When they’re turned into equity, then that’s fair enough. But at this time, those loans can be paid back.

When he bought his shares as Rangers didn’t get any of that money-there was no direct benefit to them.

I understand the difference between investing and giving money to the club. I’m just querying what he has actually ‘invested’ in Rangers.

I’m not doubting he has loaned several million to the club-I think between him and other individuals it’s now around the £17 million mark-but does that mean that Close Brothers have also invested?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Loan investment is still investment. As is share purchase. If the loans allow a company to trade then by simple definition you are investing in it - you hope for a return by allowing it survival etc.

And the loans were cash obvs.

If anything, a soft loan could be considered exceptionally welcome investment- the investor is in effect 'gifting ' the amount that he or she would have generated by investing in another offer. Even savings interest return for example.

I don't like king. And I think the way he framed his original discussion on investment made it seem as if it was a gift of sorts. But he undeniably has invested decent sums in rangers. Pointless sums but decent ones
