Why did we blow 7th place by playing stupid dull sideways negative football.........

Well the Puel out brigade don't get to play their "i told you so card" where as someone with their reputation in tatters called it.

Anyone would think we have beaten Man City the way you’re carping on tonight. Just read the garbage you’ve posted on the other thread - according to your logic, we were always going to beat a poor arsenal side because they are so poor they allow us to play the way the manager wants
That bodes brilliantly for next season.....

5 wins in 20 games - looks like we all owe Nev an apology for finally winning at home.....

Maybe tonight's convinced Arsène that Puel should be his Davey Moyes.

Well that was a nice open and wait for it....entertaining game!!....
Two experienced full backs, round pegs;round holes, 442, direct football and not really emphasise on retention of the ball in our own half. Familiar story and familiar type of win....just not familiar in recent times.
I guess either Puel has reverted to this style because the pressure got to him and he resorted m to tried and tested temporarily to save his job or he has just simply had a bit of a wake up call. I’m hoping it’s the latter because we saw that with a tweak or two - when Puel first came in - we could perhaps evolve gradually.
Now this is one game, but hopefully it shows there’s room for compromise and patience (ironically the thing being asked for by Puel) with regard to progression towards a slightly different style.
Or hey, maybe we don’t need a manager and we can just have the players ‘up tools’ and win every game forever!
On a serious note - nice to see us as a ‘team’ it has felt like forever since the last time

Nice to see the respect for wenger 👏
In retrospect
Arsenal came to win the match for him tonight and as always didn't play 1-10-0
Like other teams have and came with attacking intent,
Tactics
to try and play possession football at the standard we play would have been suicide against arsenal so the tactics wrote themselves,
Had they stayed with 11 men it would probably have ended 1-2
Either way it was a fabulous game,
But I don't believe when we play stoke or
Palace next season he wont revert to ticky tacky sideways football,
Not convinced !

The chanting for Wenger: I thought it started off ironic from L1, then turned into a moment of appreciation for a fantastic career at Arsenal. It was quite a strange thing but also kind of amusing to see the iPhone-watchers in L1 getting outvoted.
