Don Balon

For those not in the know, a top top (according to themselves of course, and Enid Blyton is she was still with us) Spanish newspaper, honest, a near permanent target of The Echo, a rightly so have reported that Chirstian Renaldo has been asked, consulted, and has given the OK for Real to buy Mo.

Bless 'im. So that's it then, Renaldo has given his blessing, his approval, and Mo is off the Real. By yesterday, I imagine.

Imagine our boss enquiringly of any player, "Em, I hope you don't mind, and please don't be offended, but, em, I was thinking - just thinking, mind you - of buying player X. Would it be OK with you if we do? Just asking, mind, and if you say no that's the end."

I am a very strong supporter of the Pess and their freedoms, butthos has to be pure comedy. Which I like too.

Views?

PS Please, wums, don't bother.

Absolutely no chance. Would be very surprised if he even left next summer.

Years ago, Don Balón was a serious football magazine.

Nowadays they're a laughing stock.

Klopp's record of holding onto his best players isn't great, but then again the development of the club afterwards is also a record that will not be ignored.

As soon as Liverpool seem to do well though, their best players always seem to be sold. Suarez and Coutinho both get sold the season they finally make the CL as opposed to before when they used to be well down the table in the EL at best.

Teams like Chelsea can finish in the EL or even lower like they did a couple of seasons ago and still keep hold of their best players, look at Hazard, Willian, Azpilicueta and Courtois as examples.

I don't think it's much more than that nowadays, tbh.

I live in Spain and cannot think of one single person I know who ever makes as much as a passing mention of them nowadays. They're a complete nonentity.

It's amazing how many players Ronaldo and Messi buy and sell according to Spanish newspapers.
