Scandalous?

Just reading the BBC article about the £14,000 ticket available for the CL final. Obviously within itself is outrageous, but I'm sure the many of you looking to go to the game must be thinking the same about the so-called "normal" prices anyway?

Obviously I know it's a huge game, but would anybody pay £14,000 for te ticket alone? Not to mention the nightmare of flying, I know of a few Liverpool fans who can't find a direct flight to Kiev, there are 2+ stop offs elsewhere around Europe which takes 20+ hours just to reach Kiev anyway and even that is priced at nearly £1,000 as well. Hotels for 2/3 nights as well in Kiev I've seen priced at around £1,000 as well probably on average (I even saw a hotel at £17,000 for 3 nights, although it was 4.5 star).

Either way, I know a few Liverpool fans that for the flights, hotel, transfer and the tickets/game itself, it is costing them something near £5,000+ for 3 days/nights in Kiev. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that is pure robbery of people's money?

I understand the principles of it, still though it's ridiculous and 16,000+ fans have paid that amount to go. £5,000 is a stretch for what is ultimately a game of football that lasts 90 minutes (or 120+ if pens are required).

I agree, but the same goes for holidays and flights during school holidays. Or that PL teams have different categories for pricing.

Yeah but look at the difference in price. Some holidays during summer time now are very much affordable and your going away for a week/10 days/2 weeks usually? This is a 90 minute football game, that's the difference.

Hardly comparable when you consider the hike in prices.

Holiday prices increase marginally during holiday periods not by double, r=treble or even higher multiples.

Of course, it shouldn't happen and the market usually stabilises at the price people are willing to pay, but what we're seeing in Kiev defies even that logic.

But there are hundreds of thousands of holiday places and only on CL final with these two teams this year. I don’t agree with it as I stated before, but supply and demand.

Welcome to capitalism. It's what enables people to access the internet and moan about it on their £1000 mobiles.

Is that how much you pay in Wolverhampton?

Who'd have thought.
