There's tons of excellent central midfielders linked with Tottenham at the moment. My personal picks would be Ndombele and Kondogbia, neither of which would cost more than £30m.

LB - Digne or Kurzawa. Keeping Rose would be fine.

CB - tricky one. Not convinced De Ligt is the answer and with City interested I'm not sure he'd come to Spurs anyway.

RB - not sure it's a priority. Think Walker-Peters is good enough - if Alexander-Arnold is, why not him?

ST/LW - not convinced this is a priority either unless Lamela goes. Still just don't see Zaha as the answer. Martial would be better (and cheaper) but doubt he'd switch United's bench (or left wing) for Spurs'. Bale is the obvious solution. £44m seems ludicrously cheap but that's the figure being quoted in the (gutter) press.

Agree with pretty much all of this. Rose is better than Digne/Kurzawa if he can stay fit. If Poch reckons he's found his perfect CM I think we can spend more than £30m, especially if Dembele goes to China.

In my opinion we only NEED a centre mid. Anything else should be to replace outgoings or upgrading the first team.

On a side note, I've been watching 2014 World Cup highlights to get my football fix. Aurier was bloody fantastic, and if he can find that form after a full preseason RB is simply not an issue.

If we're going to be spending 75m on anyone it has to be a box-to-box midfielder (e.g. Milinkovic-Savic). I think we probably need 2 new CMs.

I think a B2B CM is probably the target next summer. We can get another season out of Dembele, Winks can develop further.

Someone with the skill set of Bale or Martial can play wide or central (not so much Mahrez). Bale in particular would add real attacking quality.

I'd say out urgent need is now more of an attacker to replace Llorente, provide an alternative to Kane/Alli/Son. Bale's impact would be huge, on and off the pitch. martial would come good but probably take a bit of time to rid himself of the defensive stench of Jose.

Mahrez is quality, a bit up and down but i'd hope that Lucas could reach those sort of levels next season

He was! I remember vividly how impressed I was with him. Thought he'd go on to become the best RB in the world with how he played that tournament. Everything attacking went through him down the right and he was rock solid defensively.
