I understand the negativity around this bloke, but let's give him a chance. We have appointed a very highly rated goalkeeping coach, I think Mislintat is trying to get him back to his best.

Well, seeing as we don't have unlimited funds, I'd make a top winger the priority. With Alexis, Ox and even Walcott gone, we've lost far too much in that area.

Fair play to Arsenal. Like us they had 2 dodgy keepers but have now gone and bought a 3rd dodgy keeper.

We definitely have the funds to go out and buy one he above. We still have players to sell. If Fulham are willing to pay £25M for Chambers then that should cover the cost of a replacement CB

Not a stellar signing, but for £19m it's a decent purchase. Not had a great few seasons. Pre-2016 he was very decent, second only to Neuer.

Who knows, maybe he'll flop or maybe this is the kinda transfer he needed to invigorate his career. Hope he turns into a prime Van Der Sar though.

Additional positive of this signing is we'll hopefully see the last of Ospina.

Considering our backup RB were Chambers & Jenkinson, i'd say yes he has improved our defence.
