Out with the old....

And in with the new.

McAuley, Myhill and Yacob all released. GMac and Yac, absolute quality signings for our 8 year PL stay.

But the time is right to move on as DM looks to stamp a more youthful side to the squad.

Right decision regarding McAuley and Myhill. Myhill has been coasting for a while. McAuley can no way handle 2 games a week anymore. Right to move on and finder a young replacement. What a signing though.

Yacob I would kept for a year. Still think he offers something. Those days of him and Mulumbu running the midfield together were absolute magic

Yep all a good age, proven Championship players and could make the step up in time. We'll see whether BD was the right appointment but at least with the players he wants, he has the right idea of building a side to get out of this division going forwards.

When are the fixtures out?

Forest/Derby/Villa would be nice.

That Aussie Sainsbury looks decent. Wonder who the Club are keeping an eye on in the WC?.
Mind you, we been 'bit' before buying guys that looked good in the WC. Gamboa?

Apparently River Plate had the option to sign Juan Quintero for £5 million. A snip based on what i've seen of him at the World Cup.

Whether his valuation has ballooned over the last week I don't know but he'd surely rip up the Championship!!!
