Change of system?

I was just reading Brendan Rodgers comments following the friendly games yesterday.

Although the main thrust of the article was about Moussa he aslo spoke about the playing system:

Rodgers said: “It was a different sort of system and the boys looked a real threat and linked up really well."

“My style will always be the same but my systems can change. The style will always be the same. The rules are simple in that we have to attack with aggression and intensity and we have to dominate.

“When we do that we can create chances. I like them to be flexible tactically and having an option to that is very good. It worked well for us against Sparta."

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but we were far too slow and lethargic in most of our home games last season and that has to change.

the thing is I keep thinking "who would improve us" and then I see our right back and centre half (whom I thought were our 2 weakest) play key roles in getting their teams to the QFs of the world cup and I think "hmmm - maybe we aren't that bad at the back?..."

And then we play PSG

Short of spending 15m plus on every player can we get too much better?
