Yeah obviously nothing to get too excited for your lot Fell but its good to watch a lad develop and then get a pro contract out of it. As you said just the start for him though.

When I say I hope it works out, it's more to do with him being a level headed and grounded lad(from your comments). These are the ones likely to make it and put the effort in rather than come from a view that they are owed a contract/life in football. It's competitive at U23 level at Everton so he will be pushed to be the best he can.

Seems to have his head screwed on. under 23's is a big jump for a lad of 17 so should be a very good test for him.
