I'm not really sure what people are smoking. During the course of the final, I only saw the slow-mo replay of Perisic's hand incident twice and I was a tad distracted to settle on an opinion.

Hardly a stonewaller, but the movement of Perisic's hand and the position it was at when it struck him makes me lean pretty decisively towards a penalty. What is irritating isn't those that disagreed or were critical of the decision, but the way it was made out like some outrageous robbery or referee clanger. Probably inflaming the sense of injustice of teh critics was that France at the time were absolutely sheite, so there was a feeling they were getting a big break that they didn't deserve. But to make it out that that is 100% not a penalty and the ref was definitively wrong to give it is nonsense.

I have demonstrated why a player does not need to be looking at the last split second to determine the path of thr ball.
I have posted comments by Graham Poll, who you are so keen on quoting, who says it is a penalty.
You obviously know better than all these referees - past, current, and in the VAR room - so perhaps we leave it there.

Clattenberg said he didn’t think it was a pen. Do you know the law better than him?
What’s bizarre here is you’ve had this explained in really simple terms and yet still you argue. You even brought Derren Brown into it, as if you were in a position to be arrogant. All that proved is you have absolutely no idea what the law is and how it should be interpreted.

I’ve repeatedly said that this isn’t about that specific decision and that ultimately it comes down to opinion.
The issue we’re discussing is that you believed it was handball because you didn’t understand the law.
