Wolves v Everton Match Preview [LIVE]

Date: Saturday 11th August
Venue: Molineux
Kick-off: 17.30

The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport.

When more than 19,000 turn up at Molineux to watch a pre-season friendly, you know that the owners, Fosun International, the Head Coach, Nuno Espirito Santo and the players have the fans hooked. Molineux will be rocking on Saturday with a sell-out crowd who have been champing at the bit to see their team once again playing in the top flight.

Newly arrived additions Joao Moutinho, Jonny Castro Otto, Rui Patricio and Raúl Jiménez have all shown flashes of what they have to offer in pre-season games, now is the time for them to step up to the plate and prove their worth.

If rumours are to be believed, Wolves may well have brought in 2 or 3 more players before this game gets underway so predicting the line-up is a little tricky but expect to see Adama Traore on the bench, if not on the pitch.

Everton, considered to be the nearly men of the Premiership due to their habit of finishing between 5th and 11th in the league are not to be under-estimated. They have not been relegated from the top flight for 64 years, only 3 other teams have won the league championship more times and they have won the FA cup 5 times.

Manager Marco Silva joined the club om May 31st. His first game in charge was a pre-season friendly in July against Austrian amateur side ATV Irdning, a game that the Toffees won 22-0.
In contrast to this meaningless result, Everton’s last pre-season game was against Valencia. Played at Goodison Park, The Toffees were defeated 2-3 by the Spanish side.

Notable players who have left the club this window are Wayne Rooney, Ashley Williams and Kevin Mirallas. Players coming in include Richarlison from Watford and Lucas Digne from Barcelona.
As I write this Everton are close to completing the signing of Brazilian playmaker Bernard who is out of contract at Shaktar Donetsk and available on a free transfer. He is set to have a medical in the next 24 hours.

Gem’s prediction 2-2

It's a good time to be playing Everton, they made a lot of signings yesterday, doubt many will be up to speed with how they play or other team mates.

Everton will probably have a good season, but we will hopefully catch them a little cold.

Can’t wait lizard. The new season always starts with optimism and the anticipation of going to a proper game for the first time in 4 months, but this season does feel pretty special. And yes the newly designed subway is a great way to approach the stadium

I think the first three games are really tough ones Amiga and any wins will be hard earned. Like us, I think Everton have got a good manager and if we are close to them in the final table in May we will have had a good season. Getting 3 points start on them on Saturday would be a great way to make our mark

We will be close to them Spangles, Everton will finish 7th, we will finish 8th.

I’m undecided about the game tomorrow - at the start of the week I’d have said we’ll win, but the late signings Everton made are making me doubt myself.

Think we need to get the season off to a decent start, momentum is crucial

HW the late signings that Everton made won't be playing tomorrow and their manager has much to prove as so far he has achieved nothing in English football.
On the other hand, all the signings that Wolves have made with the exception of Dendoncker have already played together and are pretty much up to speed with Nuno's system.
Last week I was thinking 2-2 but now I am more in favour of 2-1 or 3-1 to Wolves
