A question

Is banning a group of people from applying/being hired for a job a violation of the anti-discrimination law?

I believe they also are in American football. Some scientist will tell you it is because genetically they are superior athletes.

Which is fine. Perhaps non BAME are superior managers?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have no doubt they are. My argument here is that there is nothing wrong for creating pathways to better others

Ye racial genetics is a very sticky avenue to go down. Some real issues if we find out more about the genetics of intelligence and find these are greater amongst Caucasians. It's currently not a problem because all the positive genetic discoveries have been pro ethnic minorities so fits in ok with PC culture.

Whether this is to do with genetics, or denying some people the right to education for years also plays a debate for another day.

Should we create special pathways for under privileged white children to become doctors and nurses?

I beliebe so, yes. During my dissertation, I found out that they actually have the lowest GCSE grades in the country. A group that definitely needs special attention.

Tyler, I am not one to shout out give black people everything. I am also not an idiot, this world is not black and white.

This idea that the best man should just get a job is a simple way of looking at things.

Well I don't think it's wrong as such but that they are spending time money that could be better spent in getting more British players into the league.

It causes no harm so I do agree that creating pathways can be beneficial if not getting more jobs for BAME people, at least for showing them that they aren't being discriminated against but quite the opposite. Which can only be a good thing.

Not really. Intelligence and Education aren't synonymous. There have been some very intelligent illiterates throughout history.

I completely agree that being academic is not the same as being intelligent. Muhammed Ali i my opinion was a prime example of this.

In the realms of what we are talking about, some of the best coaches today have/had access to world class education in coaching.

If you think it is that black and white that's your prerogative.

I told you i personally hate the Rooney rule, I also see its merits. Maybe you should read up on how many Black coaches/ managers have been involved in Super bowl championships since its inception. Showing clearly that they are capable- maybe, just maybe they never had the chance prior.
