It doesn't take much to trigger a rumour of someone being an iron hoof or the mane man in a sordid tail.

I had a mate who was subject to similarly vicious rumours, only a horse was the supposed perpetrator (or penetrator).

He acquired the nickname Mr Hands in honour of the guy in that infamous video that was doing the rounds a number of years ago, anyway it turned out to be false but he never shook off the stigma.

The situation got so out of hand that he actually began questioning his own sanity and that perhaps in some drunken moment of clarity he had been pumped by a horse.

This kind of crap can cause irreparable damage.(and before the smart erse replies from the usual subjects, it was a mate this happened to, I’m not Mr Hands).

How does someone suddenly get associated with a reputation for doing the business with a horse or a dog?? That's what I don't understand.
