Reading v Bolton Wanderers

The long haul championship trips are back as Bolton make the 215 mile 4 hour journey (approx) to the madejski stadium. Reading who finished 1 point and 1 place above Bolton last season have had a poor start with defeats at Nottingham forest and home to derby and are bottom of the league, Bolton with the win and draw are 7th. A good opportunity for Bolton to keep their unbeaten league run going. The last time Bolton won at reading was a premier league game in February 2008 with goals from Kevin Nolan and heider helguson, last time out in march this year was 1-1 with a goal by Adam Le Fondre. Team news. Most fans have been in a state of shock since half time of the EFL cup game at Leeds and the announcement that le Fondre had left the club leaving Bolton a striker short. After making 10 changes in the cup most players who were rested at Leeds are expected to return. The interesting one is will erhun Oztumer keep his place or will parky go back to the more defensive minded Luke Murphy. Sammy Ameobi and Clayton Donaldson are still struggling for fitness so I'm predicting just the one change from last Saturday with otzhumer starting ahead of Murphy.

While tucking into a Sunday roast I organising the eating order I couldn't help but think ahead to Wednesday's team and formation.
Will Prof be switching to a home team and formation or dare he go for it and play the same again what will Jules advice to him be can you guess.

You are assuming PP will listen To Julien. That might be a mistake.

I will be disappointed if we don't win against Birmingham. We could be on ten points. We would be perched on the top of the pile with the exception of goal difference and unless of course if Leeds win.

I' getting rather gidddy!

After Brentford won we have managed to cling onto 6th place thanks to the alphabet.

Last season we had 2 points after 11 games. This season we have 7 points after 3 games. Talk about an improved start.

As to Birmingham, well, I can honestly see us winning that comfortably. About the only thing I'd do is drop Buckley and start Oztumer. Other than that I'd keep doing what we're doing. I'd like to see some better work from Beevers though, David Wheater can't be expected to play two positions at once all the time.

Good to see you back lucky Peter.

I'm a little bit nervous about getting carried away with results to date. I suppose it comes with the territory of being a Bolton Wanderers supporter.

So we win again
This time it's Navarro coming off the bench to score 2 at Colchester the U23's on their way home after a fine 2-0 win.

Ken’s had a £900,000 bid turned down,
And a full box of Kleenex tissues for his nose bleed.
He must be getting giddy with the team in 6th place.
And two bumper crowds in a week, with two positive
Results this week we could be on THIRTEEN POINTS.
