Definitely unintentional by Vertonghen but it looks really bad, glad Firmino is ok that genuinely could have caused serious damage to his eye.

Should never be a red card when it’s unintentional like that but Markovic got sent off for the same thing for us.

Sorry but he swung his arm around deliberately, knowing Firmino was right behind him.

I'm sot saying he intended to make contact with his eye but the rest of it was pre-meditated and deliberate.

Just saw it again on MOTD and there is no doubt at all.
