League Cup, a competition I think Spurs can win. Not at their best again last night, but sneaked through, and hopefully as the competition progresses, Poch will field stronger teams. Last night Davies, Sissoko were really, really bad, Winks not sure what he actually does, never actually passes forward. Wanyama looks completely unfit. The defence looked as a collective all over the place at times, how come it has gone from one of the best, to a unit that looks as if it has never played together? Things can only improve
Anyway still in it, which is more than some clubs are. I noticed on the Liverpool match thread last night, they were having a pop at me for saying Spurs had a good chance of winning the League Cup, when they were winning 1-0 and Spurs were losing 1-0. Even posted my article. That went well fellas. Properly mugged yourselves off. In it to win it.

Seeing Sissoko on the pitch playing is a sad reminder of how pathetic it was that we didn't improve on the squad.

Mason was awful. The worse ref I have seen in ages. He was allowing the Watford players ages to leave the pitch for subs, Gomes ages to take goalkicks. Pathetic ref show if the truth be told.

Was it not Winks forward pass to release Dembele to put Lamela in?
Have Aurier Toby Snachez & Davies ever played together?
Davies has not impressed me this season, and i expected good things after a decent season last year and the summer off!

Dembele was the killer pass, Winks may have done a one yard forward pass, may have missed it. I had high hopes for him but he does not seem to be really improving.

Sandy Winks wasn’t great but he played an important part in that goal - in our half he turned one of their players and played a great through ball for Dembele to run on to. Far more than a ‘one yard pass’.

It was very poor, Spurs hardly touched the ball after they went in front against 10 men, no plan how to run down the clock, all they did give Watford a succession of corners and freekicks until the inevitable happened, the equaliser. Cost me a couple of hundred quid.
Far too many late goals being conceded of late.
