How does he do it?

Now I'm not the biggest golf fanatic our there.... I play a few times a year and usually watch the Open and the Ryder cup and listen out now and again when a major is on.

One thing that astounds me time and time again is how Ian Poulter massively seems to up his game for the Ryder cup. He famously came out years ago and admitted defeat claiming he would never win a major in his lifetime. Yet time and time again he pulls it out of the bag when it matters for Europe!

How?!?!

he's a facking massive to$$er but glad he shows up for this event every two years. Never even come close to a major has he? He loves the match play of it i believe, the pressure and atmosphere also suits him.

He has come close in majors. He’s a very underrated player when he’s in form, it’s just that the Ryder cup seems to bring out the best in him.

Some players are just more suited to the match play format and he is definitely one of them.

Agree with Phenom that he is a bit of to$$er, only really like him when he plays the Ryder Cup.
