There has been much wumming on this board about what a fraud Pep was. However, last season completely destroyed that assertion with the record breaking performance that has just gone.
The genuine question now in my mind is - Mourinho, is he the real fraud?
It came clear to me from the Amazon documentary just how important the assistants and the backroom staff are to a successful campaign - notably the guy who told Pep that Palace would the trickiest fixture, which it was.
Rui Faria, Mourinho's number one assistant who's been there since the beginning of the moany one's success, left during the summer. Subsequently there has been a catastrophic collapse in the performances on and off the pitch. Much more so than the drab performances last season that were nevertheless effective in gaining 2nd spot.
So, could it be deduced that Faria was the real special one and Mourinho was just the mouthpiece and consequently the real fraud?
