Maradona: Messi no Leader!!

Argentina great Diego Maradona has told Fox Sports that Lionel Messi, who he coached at the 2010 World Cup, is not a leader and should not be considered a footballing god.

Maradona, who along with Pele is widely considered to be one of the best players of all time, said Messi was one player at his club Barcelona and another with the national side.

"We shouldn't deify Messi any longer," he told Fox Sports. "He's Messi when he plays for Barcelona. Messi is Messi when he wears that shirt, and he's another Messi with Argentina.

"He's a great player but he's not a leader. It's useless trying to make a leader out of a man who goes to the toilet 20 times before a game." What the fffff, actually he’s got a point but that is Out of Order from the former cocaine addict. Messi has flaws but the exaggeration by Maradona smacks of jealousy and envious towards Messi no other explanation can do ffs.

Think everybody would accept Messi is better than Ronaldo.

Otherwise the Ronaldo fan boys wouldn't have to attack Messi at every single opportunity and create articles immediately whenever Messi has a bad game...

Maradona is more of an Argentine legend than Messi will ever be.

Think leaving young and then staying in Spain for so long will have had an impact on his national identity. Messi' big mistake was not going full turn coat and playing for Spain.

Never understood the need to run down either Messi or Ronaldo in a weird little 'who's the best' competition. Perhaps if you support either Barca or RM but most don't.

We're all supposed to be football fans, how can you love football and not appreciate both players?! Madness.

As for Maradona, he probably hadn't been mentioned in the news for a while so wanted a headline. The guy is a mess these days, quite sad really.
