On Saturday Wolves host Watford in what will be the first ever meeting of these two sides in the Premier League. Of the last 6 games played against Watford at Molineux, Wolves have won 1, lost 1 and drawn 4.
With Wolves on an unbeaten run of 6 games, having won 3 and drawn 1 of their last 4 games, confidence within the team is sky high as will be the expectations of the packed Molineux crowd on Saturday. Wolves currently sit in 7th place in the table with 15 points.
After a strong start to the season, winning their first 3 games, results have been less impressive for Watford in the last few weeks. In the last 4 games they have lost 3 and drawn 1. Nevertheless, they sit in 9th place in the table having won 4, lost 3, drawn 1 in the first 8 games and amassing 13 points.
Nuno Espirito Santo has already made Premier League history by naming an unchanged starting 11 for the first 8 games. If all his players return from international duty unscathed, it will almost certainly be the same starting 11 again for this game.
Javi Gracia will be forced to make at least 2 changes to his regular starting 11. Defenders Christian Kabasele and José Holebas are both suspended and ineligible to play.
Since returning to the Premier League in 2015-16, Watford have been shown more red cards than any other side in the competition (13). During the same period, they have conceded 19 penalties.
Nuno Espirito Santo was named Premiership Manager of the Month for September having guided his team undefeated throughout the month.
Wingback Matt Doherty was named Premier League Player of the Month.
Gem’s prediction: 2-0

So far this season Wolves have made far more passes and had far more shots than Watford. But they have scored more and conceded more than us

Christ! This has been such a long 2 weeks!
I never minded international breaks when we were crap but now I would be happy to watch Wolves play every day and 2 weeks without a fix is just torture!

Hopefully tomorrow they will concede more and score less. At some point our forwards are going to start finding the target, hopefully the past 2 weeks will have given Jota, Costa and Jimenez the confidence to take their chances when they come.

Don't know if this link will work but if it does it's a great reminder of what a brilliant goal scorer we have in Ivan Cavaleiro.

Worked for me Gem. I know some are concerned about our lack of strikers, but Cavaleiro can play in that forward position.

If Nuno doesn't think that Jimenez has had sufficient rest, Cav may well be leading the line tomorrow.

Cavaleiro isn’t a centre forward. When we played him Costa and Jota up front last season it was always Jota that played in the middle. But it isn’t his best position either, neither would it suit Costa or Traore. All four of them are suited to the wide positions in the front 3.
