Too much hype

I think there has been a little too much hype about how good we have been this season. What we are is a team that is better than last season. But that’s it. We are not brilliant yet. We are doing ok but are too inconsistent cause we are not good enough yet.

We have had some good results, but to be honest that has taken a bit of luck. There has been a lot of sitters missed against us in some games. It’s made us look a little better than we are.

The defence is still awful. They just cannot defend set pieces. I don’t know how we can get promotion without dramatically improving that?

I don’t wanna sound negative because I am happy with the progress. We will get better as the season goes on I am sure. But as usual I feel there is a little too much hype and then fans will start getting annoyed when we do t do as well as they think. We over hype the good results (Boro away) and then expectations rise. If we could just stay happy with progress and stray behind the team it would make it easier to get better. I understand what Karanka was saying. We sold out cause everyone expected us to know smash Norwich. Rather then recognise that we are a team in progress and will struggle to be consistent.
