On Saturday Wolves welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Molineux. The game will be played in the evening at the behest of Sky Sports to enable their live TV coverage.
For Wolves it will be the third meeting of the season with a ‘Top 6’ side having previously held both Man City and Man United to 1-1 draws. Coming on the back of losses to Watford and Brighton in the previous 2 games, Wolves will need to be at their best if they hope to avoid a third defeat in succession.
Despite these 2 losses, Wolves have made a strong start to the season having gained 15 points from their first 10 games. Ninth in the league with a zero goal difference contrasts sharply with the other newly promoted sides Cardiff and Fulham who currently occupy 17th and 18th places in the table, have 5 points each and with a goal difference of -14 and -17 respectively.
Currently in 5th place in the table, 4 places and 6 points ahead of Wolves, Spurs travel to the Midlands after their Monday evening Wembley clash with Man City where they were beaten 1-0. and an EFL cup 4th round game away to West Ham. Three days after the game with Wolves they have a Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven. With 5 games in the space of 9 days Mauricio Pochettino will need to make some changes to his starting 11 in an attempt to get something from each game.
Spurs were the only Premier League club to spend nothing on summer transfers and Mauricio Pochettino’s belief that his side needed no strengthening seems to be paying off as they have won 7 of their first 10 games. It could however be argued that if they have any real ambition of winning the league title, they have to compete with the other ‘top 6’ sides. So far Spurs have beaten a lacklustre Man United and lost to both Liverpool and Man City.
In the 2009/2010 season when previously playing top flight football, Wolves did the double over Spurs winning both games 1-0. The following season the meetings resulted in a home
3-1 victory for Spurs followed by a 3-3 draw at Molineux. In their last Premier League season before this one, 2011/2012, Wolves were beaten 2-0 at home but managed a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane.

I know its for a good cause but, £2 for a samosa seems a little steep. I might well get one or 3 for a fiver though if there's any left when I wander past.
